Description
The U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte is a world-class rafting opportunity located on the Catawba River only 20 minutes from the heart of the Carolina's largest city. The center boasts the largest man-made recirculating river in the world and is an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. Participants must be ages 8+.
Over the course of the trip you'll ride the wilderness section, surfing waves and playing in eddies, and also test your skills on the tight and technical turns of the challenging competition channel of the river. After a run down, you'll ride a conveyer belt back to the top pond and get going again for another run down the river.
A day-pass costs $49 for adults and $29 for children under 11. This pass allows individuals to enjoy rafting, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, a huge zip-line, and even an eco caching program.
