Description
North Carolina Zoo is one of the nation's largest zoological parks, so expect plenty of natural grazing land on which bison can roam. A shuttle and tram system makes it easy for even those with tired legs to get from North America to Africa and back via the elephants, grizzly bears, puffins, gorillas and tropical birds. Let young children enjoy a romp in the Garden Friends Playground and relax over lunch either in the public picnic areas or at one of the facility's snack shops. Allow for two to three hours to see the park in its entirety.
