Description
Permanent exhibits at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences range from state geology to botany and geography, from backyard to dry tropical forest. As the largest natural history museum in the Southeast and housed in a new, much larger space, visitors can expect to find plenty to see and do on the facility's multiple floors. Exploration Carts, the Discovery Room and the Fossil Lab are designed to provide visitors with hands-on access to nature and the sciences. Special changing exhibits and on-site scientists, regular lectures and a variety of films shown on the large HDTV screen ensure that even repeat visitors will find something new to learn.
