North Carolina's maritime history is the focus at the North Carolina Maritime Museum, a facility that preserves and interprets a slice of coastal life for the benefit of future generations. Museum exhibits range from things boat-related to pirates and include a selection of natural history displays that explore both the environment and the creatures that inhabit this stretch of Atlantic Ocean.
