Description
The newly revitalized Festival Hall building originally was built in 1939 by the Federal Works Agency as a Public Works Administration project. The 8,000 square foot building housed a basketball court, wooden bleachers, and a stage that served a multi-purpose use for the Greensboro High School until 1967. It also has served as a county office building until its current renovation. Festival Hall now is a renowned performing arts facility where John Lithgow graced the stage for the initial performance in May of 2010.
