Asheville Art Museum's permanent collection contains a well-rounded assortment of artworks in a variety of styles from the 20th and 21st centuries, including Magic Realism, the Ash Can School, Folk Pottery, Photography, and Pop Art. Though the emphasis here is art significant to North Carolina's cultural heritage there is also a selection of pieces on show from notable American's around the country. The museum's changing exhibit space features works by established and emerging regional talents.
