This 22 mile greenway reaching from Durham to Raleigh is an easy bike-ride over a paved and gravel trail system. The trail is incomplete at this time in-between Durham and Raleigh, however the open sections are a paved section in Durham running downtown and most of the Wake County section which is a gravel trail running through wooded areas. This is not a mountain biking trail, rather a community use trail providing a great opportunity to get out and ride your bike. Horseback riding also occurs on the trail so be careful not to spook horses.
